The ideal way to introduce your students to the meaning of fractions!
Each lesson begins with an instructional component, which is followed by a set of exercises. Visual fraction models, such a fraction blocks, rectangular grids and number lines are used to enable students to develop a conceptual understanding of fractions. The enrichment lessons include exercises in adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator, dividing by a unit fraction and taking a multiple of a unit fraction.
Besides its intended use with 3rd grade students, the workbook may also be used with 2nd grade gifted students and 4th or 5th grade students who need a foundation in fractions.
